Chirping Birds (A Poem)

Chirping Birds (A Poem)

Piercing through the darkness, came the light.
Chirping birds, signaled end of the night.

I listen to the melody they hold.
This day came, shining like gold.

Instead the night, which went past;
Was full of terrors, yet didn’t last.

I might not hold the reign of life.
You may know me, not my strife.

I’m here, I’m here, Can you hear?
I’ll live, I’ll live, I will not fear.

I’ll fight, I’ll fight, with all my might;
I know, I know, that this is right!

Piercing through the darkness, came the light.
Chirping birds, signaled end of the night.
